Description
Rowan Tree 40cm 15 Pack: The Rowan or mountain ash is a common and prized native tree in the UK. It forms a small deciduous tree, with leaves turning beautiful red and orange colours in the autumn. According to legend, the Rowan is a magical tree that would protect against witches and malevolent beings. The fruits can be preserved and are a great food source for birds. Sorbus Aucuparia is tolerant to atmospheric pollution and due to this and its size proves to be popular in urban areas. This plant is ideal for local wildlife, whether it’s their flowers which are perfect for pollinators or their deep red berries which provide a great source of food for small mammals and birds. Please Note: This tree will be 20-40cm in height and depending on the time of year they could arrive bare or with browning leaves. Do not be alarmed, this is expected and normal, the tree will perk back up once the weather is warmer. As long as provided with the right care and attention, this sapling can be planted all year round.
