Description
Prunus lus. Angustifolia Readybag Hedge: When clipped an trimmed regularly, it can produce a very tight dense hedge for you to enjoy from any area of your garden. It is most suitable in soils including heavy clay soils, medium loam and light sandy soils too, if this is left untrimmed, it will naturally form a dense cone up to about 5 metres in height. As the plant does grow older, the reddish stems of the green leaves will fade, but if this is untrimmed, this fading will be overpowered by the white candle like flower in the late spring which could then be followed by blackberries, and could add a colourful feature to your back garden for you and your loved ones to enjoy, at any time of the year. Please note: If the plant is trimmed regularly it will not flower or set fruit as they will be trimmed off. It is happy being grown on shallow chalk soils. To add some style to your back garden, this could be clipped up into Balls and Lollipops to add interest to the hedge.
