Crataegus Monogyna Readybag Hedge: An easy and simple hedge that will tolerate very dry or moist soils, for you and your neighbours to admire from the comfort of your own home and garden. It is very adaptable and easy to grow, and it can be covered with white fragrant flowers in May and if you did not trim the hedge, it will be followed by red haws. This is not a problem however, as these haws are much needed food for birds to enjoy during the colder months, leading up to the Autumn and Winter months. Dependent on your preference, these can be trimmed regularly to make the hedge thicken up, or it can be ‘laid’ using traditional techniques to create a dense and secure hedge, perfect to keep any animals or pests out of your beloved garden. Please note that if you do keep up with the regular trimming, you will lose some of the flowers and fruit that could have been.
