Buxus Sempervirens Trough Hedge 1m: A stunning classic evergreen border edging, adding a touch of style and class into any garden, big or small and to maintain this beautiful hedge, it can be trimmed tightly to keep its shape for longer. It is an evergreen shrub that produces a luxuriant mass of smaller and darker leaves, perfect to show off to your guests when they come round in the summer time especially. These leaves are 12 to 25mm long and half as wide, but this is actually very dense as the leaves are closely packed on the stems. Please be mindful that the hedge is tolerant of shade, alongside thin chalky soils, but this hedge will actually grow in most types of soils unless they are very wet or exposed to cold winds. Please note: If allowed to grow unchecked, it can form a bush that is wider than it is tall and can, over a long time, get to between 5 and 7 metres in height but more normally between 2 and 3 metres. It is recommended to clear up all the trimmings and to brush them out of the plants after trimming to prevent infection and to improve the look of the plants. If planting alongside other plants, it is advisable to leave a small gap to allow air to circulate freely to maintain the plants health.
